Unexpectedly Wonderful
I am not a huge romance fan, I often find the writing for romance books over dramatic and unlikeable for my typical contemporary literature taste. That being said, this book really pleasantly surprised me. The writing was honest and straightforward, the characters were infuriating while still being loveable, and the plot, while not necessarily being groundbreaking besides who the characters were, was enthralling. I found that I could not put it down. The only reason that I don't rate it 5 stars is that I covet my five star ratings for books that really blow me out of the water! This book deserves the hype it's gotten for not being a cookie cutter romance. THE TENSION!! THE ROMANCE!!! muah, chefs kiss.
